PRESENTATION FOR 2026

Due to significant organizational, bureaucratic, and financial challenges, as well as broader societal changes, we participated with our group for the last time in the 2025 edition. For 2026, we need at least a creative break. Perhaps in the future, new ideas will emerge from the community to continue our work in a different form.

Aufgrund massiver organisatorischer, bürokratischer, finanzieller Herausforderungen und der allgemeinen gesamtgesellschaftlicher Entwicklung haben wir in der Form 2025 das letzte Mal mit unserer Gruppe teilgenommen. Für 2026 benötigen wir mindestens eine kreative Pause. Vielleicht gibt es in Zukunft neuen Ideen aus der Community unserer Arbeit in anderer Form fortzusetzen.

Für 2026 gibt es keine Umzugsgruppe von uns bei der Parade. Wir arbeiten gerade noch an Alternativen für den Sonntag um Mitten im Geschehen trotzdem dabei zu sein. Bleibt gespannt!Menschen auf der Parade in Berlin

Each Masquerader will present himself in a professional costume from the past years. Thereby we show the variety and beauty of different costumes and contribute to sustainability.

CARNIVAL EXPLOSION PRESENTATION SELECTION

Since 2012 we bring the beauty and joy of life in the style of Caribbean Carnival to the streets of Berlin. We have been inspired by very different cultural, historical but also themes of everyday culture in the past years. After the pandemic, the massiv increase in costs for costumes materials/services plus the lack of time due to approval of participation we need to invented new. Sine 2023 we are offer to take part in your own professional costume from prevoius Carnivals in the world. We were pretty amazed how beautiful the band looked last year. Furthermore everybody pays a constribution to substainabilty to wear a costume more than once. For more information check also in the menu – SUBSTAINABILITY

  • 2013 – Superblue (A tribut to the Trinidad & Tobago’s Soca Legend Superblue), sections: one section (colour: blue)
  • 2014 – Sno Cones (A tribut to this delicous threat of the Caribbean), sections: Apple (green), Lemon (yellow), Orange (orange)
  • 2015 – Midnight Robber (Theme inspired by the traditional Mas character of Trinidad & Tobago) sections: only one section (black/white)
  • 2016 – Arawaks (Remisence to the indigenous tribes of Trinidad & Tobago), sections: Suppoyo (red/ orange), Nepoya (teal/turquoise)
  • 2017 – Chutney (Tribut to the East Indian Culture in Trinidad & Tobago), sections: Radica (mint/violet), Karma (yellow/gold), Dulahin (peach/rose)
  • 2018 – Panorama (The name of the most anticipated Steel Pan Competition in Trinidad & Tobago and a tribut to National Instrument), sections: Northstars (blue/silver), Desperadoes (purple/rose), Renegades (green/yellow)
  • 2019 – Bird Sanctuary (Remisence to the Trinidad & Tobagos flamboyant Bird population and their endangered status), sections: Toucan (black/multi-colour), Ruby Hummingbird (nude/pink), Kingfisher (orange/teal), Macaw (red/royal blue/green)
  • 2020 – PARADE CANCELLED – Treasures of ancient China (Following the longtime tradition of Caribbean Mas Band get their theme inspired by other non-caribbean cultures and with easy to identifiy origin.), sections: Dynasty (red/yellow), Jade (emerald/mint), Ming (white/cobalt blue), Peony (baby pink/ bright pink)
  • 2021 – PARADE CANCELLED

  • 2023 – ROAD AGAIN – celebration of music and life after the Pandemic (bring your own costume)
  • 2024 – SMALL ISLANDS – showcase of madras fabric and rich music styles of the less know smaller Antilles islands (bring your own costume)
